Award winning classical guitar duo, Dulcet Guitar Duo, is comprised of Caroline Kubach & Alex Pollock. They studied Classical Guitar Performance at Rowan University where they received their Bachelors (2015) Masters degrees (2017). They have performed throughout the Delaware Valley for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, Wilmington Classical Guitar Society, and for the NJMEA Classical Guitar Festival. Dulcet Guitar Duo was recently awarded First Place in the Texas A&M University Guitar Ensemble Competition. Caroline and Alex are also on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society. Caroline is the Artistic Director and Alex is the Membership and Competition Director. Caroline Kubach began guitar studies at the New Jersey School of Music in Medford, New Jersey. She received her Associate Degree in Music at Burlington County College. In May 2015, she graduated from Rowan University, Cum Laude, with her Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance studying with Joseph Mayes. Caroline graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Rowan University in May 2017. Caroline is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda honor society.

Caroline has been called on to perform at various venues in the NJ/Philadelphia area. She has also performed in master classes for Christopher Ladd, Rupert Boyd, and Antigoni Goni. In April 2017 she was one of the headlining performers at the Women of the Guitar Festival in Buffalo, New York. Along with performing a concert, she also gave a masterclass, judged a competition, and was part of a roundtable discussion.

Caroline is the Artistic Director of The Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, a member of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society, and a member of The Guitar Foundation of America. Caroline has been teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons for seven years. She is an Adjunct Professor of Guitar at Rowan College at Burlington County. She also teaches for a few different music schools in South Jersey such as Rowan Community Music School and New Jersey School of Music, and she also teaches privately.

Alex Pollock began playing the guitar at the age of 11 and quickly moved on to studying the classical guitar under the private tutelage of William Newman. In 2010 Alex earned the rank of Eagle Scout as well as winning First Prize in the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society’s Competition, High School Division. In May 2015, he graduated from Rowan University, Cum Laude, with his Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance studying with Joseph Mayes. Alex graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Rowan University in May 2017. Alex is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda honor society.

Alex has played in many master classes with professional guitarists such as Curtis Institute’s Jason Vieaux, Julian Gray of Peabody Conservatory and Shenandoah Conservatory, Christopher Ladd of Hartt Conservatory, and Antigoni Goni. Alex is on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society as well as being the Membership and Competition Director for the society. He is also a member of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society, and the Guitar Foundation of America. Alex owns his own private teaching studio, Pollock Music Lessons L.L.C.
